About
I work at a non-profit that delivers employment and skills programs like Workforce Australia, SEE and SEA across Australia. My work covers technology architecture across the organisation: data platforms, integrations, reporting, CRM and internal tools. Salesforce is one of the platforms I work with.

Day-to-Day Program Support. Most of my time goes into keeping existing programs running well. That means picking up new build requests, diagnosing root-level problems in what's already there, and fixing them properly rather than patching over symptoms. It's the kind of work that doesn't make for exciting reading, but it's what keeps things stable for the people who depend on them.
CRM Architecture & Program Delivery. When the organisation takes on a new government program — SEE, IEA, Workforce Australia, Self Employment Assistance, VET, EST — I work on preparing the architecture for how it lives in our CRM, then work with our team to build it out end-to-end. That involves coordinating with the BI team on the data pipeline, mapping the service delivery model to what the system can support, and making sure things hold together once staff are actually using it.
Lightning Web Components & Internal Tooling. I build and maintain custom Salesforce components — Lightning Web Components and other internal pieces — used by over 500 staff throughout the day. These are the interfaces people rely on for actual work: processing enrolments, tracking participant progress, managing compliance. When a team has a workflow that nothing off-the-shelf fits, I work on building something specific to that problem.
Data Integration & Pipeline Management. Department data doesn't arrive in a usable format. I build and maintain the integrations that pull it from source systems and load it into our CRM, working with the BI team who handle the transformation layer in between. When a new program comes on board, this pipeline gets stood up from scratch. I also work on integrations for other parts of the organisation — Eventbrite and HubSpot for marketing, AskNicely for the customer success team.
Architecture Review & Standards. I'm involved in reviewing what the team builds before it ships — looking at architectural consistency, maintainability, and adherence to the patterns we've established. The aim is less about gatekeeping and more about catching things that tend to create problems further down the line.
Web & Marketing Platforms. On the web side, I work on building and maintaining WordPress sites, writing custom plugins, and supporting whatever the marketing team needs to run campaigns and publish content. It sits alongside the CRM and data work, but covers the external-facing side of things.

Scoping & Requirements. Embedded with the Blood Cells and Blood Cancer Division at WEHI and the Centre for Stem Cell Systems at the University of Melbourne. Spent time understanding what the researchers actually needed — not what a spec document said they needed, but what would genuinely make their work easier.
Application Development & Documentation. Extended the existing application and wrote technical documentation that researchers could follow without hand-holding. The goal was to leave behind something usable, not just functional.
Researcher Engagement. Sat with the research teams, walked through what was working and what was falling short, then proposed and built improvements based on those conversations. Straightforward client work, done properly.
Cloud Deployment. Published the updated application on NECTAR Research Cloud, making it accessible to the broader research team rather than locked on one person's machine.

Corporate Accelerator. Ran an internal accelerator that worked with over 150 startups. Led 12 of them through building use case prototypes — vetting ideas, shaping scope, and getting working demos in front of the business.
Technology Integration. Managed the adoption of new technology across the organisation. The hard part was never the tech itself — it was the stakeholder coordination required to make rollouts actually stick beyond the pilot phase.
Innovation Program. Built and ran the framework for internal innovation: 200+ associates across 10 business verticals, USD 650k budget. Structured it so ideas could move from concept to prototype without getting buried in committee.

Emerging Technology Research. Tracked emerging tech and startup activity in the retail space. The job was to separate signal from noise — figuring out what was genuinely worth the team's attention versus what was just hype.
Prototype Development. Took technologies from the research pipeline and turned them into working prototypes for retail clients. The point was to prove feasibility before anyone committed serious resources.
Lab Operations. Maintained network code, managed enterprise sandboxes, and kept the innovation lab running day to day. Unglamorous work, but the kind that falls apart quickly if nobody owns it.
